What does my rent include?
The price of the rent includes bills: water, electricity, internet and the cleaning of common spaces once a week. We have calculated the amount of water and use of electricity to satisfy a normal stay, however there is an established maximum consumption described in the contract. If this quota is exceeded, the proportional surplus will be split among the flatmates.
Will I get back my security deposit?
We ask for a security deposit proportional to one month of the monthly rent. This amount will be returned to you at the end of the contract if:
You return the room in the same conditions it was given to you.
You end your contract in the date established in your tenancy agreement.
What is the minimum stay?
We ask for a minimum stay of four months during the spring and autumn school terms.
During summer the stay’s length can change for a minimum of one month.
What happens if I end my contract before?
If you end it before the agreed day, the property could stay with your security deposit. Exceptions may apply if you find someone to replace you, or it is considered (by the property) an emergency.
Are visits allowed?
Yes, visits are allowed for free during two running days. If the stay is for more than two days, there is a service fee of 10 euros per day. Visits can stay for up to eight days.
What does my room include?
We deliver your room ready and clean for you to move-in. Your room is equipped with a bed+mattress, night table+lamp, wardrobe, desk+chair+lamp, and mirror. We also provide bedding (sheets, duvet cover, duvet, and pillow) and a towel.
What extra amenities and services are included?
Cleaning of common areas comes once a week (usually Mondays).
Constant maintenance to fix/replace elements that break down.
Hand towels for the bathrooms.
Trash bags.
Basic cleaning devices: broom, mop, water bucket…
Should I consider any additional costs besides the rent?
We expect to receive the flat as we gave it to you, if we need to pick up trash and throw away left over belongings, for example, we will will charge a fee of 50 euros. Toilet paper, hand-soap and dish-soap are usually shared among the flatmates.
Can I move-in with my friend?
We like to keep common spaces flowing and do not overload them, all rooms are for a single person, no couples or friends are allowed in the same room.
Can I obtain a census certificate -empadronamiento-with my rental contract?
Yes, with your tenancy agreement and if your stay is for at least four months you will be able to obtain a census certificate with the Ajuntament de Barcelona.
How can I reserve a room?
You have to transfer 50% of your security deposit to the property account, once received we block the room for the period applied. If you cancel your reservation three months before your check in date, no refund on the reservation fee applies.
